John-Leslie Brown, one of the most recognizable faces in the motivational speaking industry will join forces with artist educator and community organizer, Leila Steinberg for what will become the most compelling concert of the year. Celebrating poetry, positive Hip Hop Music and the success of “The Microphone Sessions” series, “Tat2Wings” will feature live performances, Hip Hop-infused dialogues and powerful art advocacy.

On Monday, December 19, Hip Hop artist and motivational speaker John-Leslie Brown aka HIGH HOPES will occupy L.A.’s Celebrity Centre International along with artist educator and community organizer, Leila Steinberg to host the premier “Tat2Wings” Listening Party and Art Empowerment Celebration. “Tat2Wings” will offer a rousing evening of live musical performances from HIGH HOPES, Nyku, Kampaign, and an exclusive keynote empowerment speech from Leila Steinberg. The “Tat2Wings” Listening Party and Art Empowerment Celebration will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Celebrity Centre International, located at 5930 Franklin Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90028. SolShock Supports the 13th Annual THANKS GIVENDS Benefit

We’re happy to support the 13th annual Thanks Givends Benefit: a community effort to raise funds and awareness for programs incorporating the arts for underprivileged and at risk youth.

On Wednesday, November 23,  hundreds of artists, DJs, musicians, promoters, media, and individuals who love an uplifting event with a bona fide cause,  will gather together in support of Thanks Givends. This year’s event  will benefit the Marvista Family Center, Sound Art, Peace4Kids, and Pio Pico MS Music Program.

Guests can expect multiple hosts, DJs, and live art from 9pm until 4am at Los Globos Nightclub, located at 3040 W. Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. It a 21 & over event with $10 admission.

We first heard about Thanks Givends years ago from its founder, Carlos Guaico aka “Loslito” of The Rebirth and Walk Talkin events. The multi-talented singer, songwriter, musician, DJ, producer and promoter holds the event dear to his heart and works year-round to unify efforts that benefit  the community. speaker john-leslie brownIf we knew of one person who consciously and consistently spoke of high hopes in their music and in everyday conversation, it would be John-Leslie Brown, aka HIGH HOPES.  As the youngest son of world-renowned motivational speaker and author Les Brown, John-Leslie possesses a natural passion and charm aptly placed at the heart of his delivery.  A Hip Hop artist and internationally known motivational speaker since the age of 15,  John-Leslie has self-produced over eight albums combining “new generation motivation” with  hard-knocking hip hop, potent lyrics and moving selections from his speeches. Heeding the impact of his words, his message is always that of positivity, exemplary action and of course, motivation.
