Like the other artists featured in this post, the incomparable singer-songwriter/producer from Seoul, South Korea has fans on every continent. The hits he’s written and produced for others have charted consistently and his most recent U.S. singles, “Love” (with Syd from The Internet) and “Put My Hands on You” (feat. Anderson.Paak – Dean’s favorite American producer) have catapulted him into a cozy niche of R&B that is all his own. His sound is heavily R&B with nuances of jazz, pop, electronic and HipHop. Invite a little of Dean Trbl (Trouble) into the soundtrack of your life. You will not regret it.
90’s-2000’s Soul and R&B inside a 20-something rising star who you will ultimately have a crush on. It doesn’t take much to be seduced by his voice and lyrics. His style is alluring and authentic yet, you can hear the influence of American R&B icons, in addition to jazz, throughout his songs. In a 2016 interview with KCON TV, he mentioned wanting to work with jazz artist, Norah Jones. If you love Neo-soul and R&B and have never heard of Crush, start here.
